John Ziska (c.1378-1424) A famous leader of the Hussites. Ziska defeated the Emperor Sigismund in 1421 and again in 1422. He destroyed monasteries, burned priests' houses, and introduced the communion with both elements. He also waged war against the Hussite faction known as the Calixtines.
