[Up] [Dromo's Den] Isocrates Image Isocrates (436-338 B.C.). After 392 B.C., his school at Athens offered training in essay writing and oratory on political and Hellenic themes. He also promoted the idea that the Greeks should unite to conquer Persia, set forth in his Panegyricus.
