[Up] [Dromo's Den] Thomas Becket Image Becket, Thomas À (c.1118-1170), Archbishop of Canterbury, born in London. On Dec. 29, 1170, he was murdered, declaring, "For the name of Jesus and for the defense of the Church I am ready to embrace death."
