[Up] [Dromo's Den] Sir Thomas Fairfax Image Thomas Fairfax (Lord Fairfax) (1612-71). An English Parliamentary general. Fairfax, as commander general of the Parliamentary forces, and Cromwell as lieutenant general, gained a victory at Naseby. Fairfax refused to head the commission appointed to try the King when he discovered that they were determined to execute him. J. N.
